Drexel University & West Catholic Athletic Field

This is a dream 24 years in the making’, said Brother Richard Kestler, FSC, president of West Catholic Prep. ‘Since 1989, West Catholic Prep has been looking for a site to serve as a practice field for its teams. Thanks to this partnership with Drexel and the Maguire Foundation, West Catholic Prep students now have a state-of-the-art facility and a site we are proud to call our home field”.

A.P. Construction created the new multi-purpose turf field by first preparing the vacant ground for the installation of the advanced, Division 1, multi-use synthetic turf field. Project scope included initial excavation, relocation of batting cages, the installation of a high-tech underground draining system, the building of a retaining wall with safety padding & signage, the creation of a well located pedestrian pathway with multi-level fencing protected with wind guards, the addition of field netting, a modern water service, underground electrical services for future lighting possibilities, a personalized ornamental gated entrance, and a spacious field house.
